Mara is a Portland, Oregon–based painter. She exhibits and sells her work under the name, MARA SAFRANSKY. Raised in the rural mountains of North Carolina, Mara earned her degree from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her layered abstract paintings use color, atmosphere, and gesture to create open-ended visual experiences. |
